These brownies are the kind of recipe you’ll want to bring to potlucks and picnics or parties. Everyone goes crazy for these amazing brownies! Plus it’s better to share…eating the whole pan by yourself would result in very unhappy jeans.
We’ve been enjoying these brownies for years in my family; I hope they become a favorite for your family too. Enjoy!
- 1 cup unsalted butter (melted)
- 1 cup cocoa powder
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 4 eggs
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/4 cup all purpose flour
- 2 cups mini marshmallows
- 12oz semi sweet chocolate chips
- 3/4 cups creamy peanut butter
- 3 cups rice krispies cereal
|Preheat oven to 350
In a mixing bowl stir cocoa and melted butter until combined.
Add sugars and mix well.
Stir in eggs, one at a time.
Add salt and flour until well combined.
Spread into a greased 9×13″ pan and bake about 20 minutes or until a tester comes out mostly clean with fudgy crumbs.
|Immediately pour marshmallows over the top of the brownies and bake 2-3 more minutes. Let cool.|
|In a glass bowl, melt chocolate chips and peanut butter in the microwave in 30 second intervals, stirring between each burst until melted and smooth.
Stir in rice cereal and gently press evenly over the cooled brownies. Cover and chill until set.
Can be stored at room temperature, but do not let them get too warm or the topping will start to melt.
