Best Corn Bread

Take a dish of this bread to any gathering, it will be gone in no time…I take it quite often to Church dinners, the Pastor requests it every time! So moist and delicious!

Cook time: 45 Min  Prep time: 10 Min  Serves: 16 pieces


1 c corn meal – yellow
1 c sugar
3 c flour
2 Tbsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1/3 c melted, butter
2/3 c vegetable oil
2 1/2 c milk
2-3 Tbsp honey
4 beaten eggs


1. Preheat oven to 350 degree F. Grease a 9 x 13 baking dish. In a large bowl, toss together, flour, sugar, corn meal, salt and baking powder. To dry ingredients add, beaten eggs, honey, melted butter, oil, milk..stir only until blended. Pour batter into prepared dish and bake for 45 minutes or until pick inserted to center comes out clean.
2. Serve warm with butter! Goes great with chili.
